Hello guys, welcome to Everything For Free. Today we're going to learn how to make a pendrive bootable for free and that too in just a few seconds. You need to make a USB pendrive bootable to be able to install any OS from it. And today we're gonna learn about the same here.
1. First of all get the ISO file of the OS which you want to install. For Windows you can get it here https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/
2. Then just download this free software here http://www.poweriso.com/download.php
3. Now insert the USB drive which you wish to make bootable.
4. Choose the menu "Tools > Create Bootable USB Drive". The "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog will popup. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 / 8 operating system, you need confirm the UAC dialog to continue.
5. In "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog, click "..." button to open the iso file of your OS.
6. Select the correct USB drive from the "Destination USB Drive" list if multiple USB drives are connected to the computer.
7. Choose the proper writing method. "USB-HDD" is recommended.
8. Click "Start" button to start creating windows 7 / 8 bootable USB drive.
Congratulations you have successfully made the USB drive bootable.
Now comes the part of making use of your bootable USB drive.
9. Reboot the system.
10. While booting (before Windows starts loading), get into the BIOS configuration screen by hitting something like F1, F2, Delete or Escape. Hotkey instructions are generally provided on the screen.
11. Go to the section that contains your boot devices. And select the desired USB drive.
12. Now the installer for the OS should open. Just follow the steps and install your OS.
